Ideally suited for secondary water use, such as irrigation or pool filling, the standard FHM features: Rugged double wall stainless steel screen protecting the measuring element Built-in flow restrictor to prevent element over-speeding Field replaceable handles for easy portability Optional check valve and flow rate control valve. Reduced Pressure Backflow Preventer Meter (BPM) The BPM model adds to your fire hydrant meter's versatility, protecting your water system from accidental backflow. It's the recommended solution for applications, such as mixing cement, fertilizers or other chemicals, that could create cross-connection hazards at your fire hydrant. The BPM includes all the features of the FHM, plus a true reduced pressure zone (RPZ) backflow preventer. A stainless steel support arm stabilizes the assembly.
